Ever wonder which software and services vendors are actually delivering value in the ecommerce and retail media space? The ones worth your budget, the rising stars, and those who've lost their edge?
Let's face it – there are only so many trusted colleagues you can ask for candid feedback. And online review services like G2 often rely on junior employees incentivized by $25 Amazon gift cards. That's not how you want to make expensive procurement decisions.
That's why I created this database. It features insights exclusively from mid to senior level brand-side employees – people with direct hands-on-keyboard experience and those making the actual buying decisions. I personally vet every single submission for authenticity.

This database includes detailed ratings and candid commentary on a wide range of vendors, including:
- Retail media ad tech platforms
- Agencies
- Digital shelf analytics providers
- Advertising analytics solutions
- Product content management systems
- Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions
- And more categories being added as the database grows
Initially, I built this database by asking brand-side folks in private conversations which vendors they recommended versus those they'd caution others to avoid. Candidly, my reason for doing so was to ensure that I only take on sponsors for Retail Media Breakfast Club that my network personally vouched for.
But I quickly realized how valuable this information would be for brands going through a buying process, so I decided to scale it and make it more helpful for more people.

How to Get Access
If you're a brand-side ecomm/retail media Manager or above, you can request access to the database by providing 2-4 ratings of your own (1-2 recommended, and 1-2 'not recommended' vendors), along with a short rationale for each.
Here's how it works:
- I verify your identity
- Categorize your submissions
- Ensure you aren't inadvertently doxxing yourself in the comments
- Load your feedback into the database
- Grant you view-only access to the complete resource
As the database grows, I'll share periodical updates with you.
If you're a solution provider, I'm sorry but access to the database is currently limited to brand-side professionals only. However, you can register your interest here, and I'll keep you updated. 😄
